![]() The characters are well written and I've read it twice because I enjoyed it so much. While it focuses on choices in who marries whom, and has some prayer in it, the religious portion of the book is very small. Any advice about how to handle this would be great. The Short-Straw Bride is a good choice for a nice, comfortable reading. ![]() ![]() I was fine with the bachelorette party but the rehearsal dinner also is too much. How is any of this my fault? She knew when we postponed last year the dates of the rehearsal dinner and the bachelorette party. She also has to come back multiple times for another friend of hers getting married later this year. ![]() The rehearsal dinner is not until 7 p.m., and she could fly in (her new town is not far from New York). But now, since my rehearsal dinner is on a Friday night, she is telling me she will miss that altogether because her other friend from New York just decided to get married a week after me, and she does not want to take more time off. The post says: "My co-maid of honor (friends since 6th grade) moved away recently and has yet to land a job but just told me she will be late to my bachelorette party (because she does not want to take time off from a new job), so I was understanding about that. ![]()
